Narda - West is located in Folsom, just east of Sacramento, CA. We currently are offering outstanding career opportunities in engineering, manufacturing and support functions. About Area:Located in California's central valley, we have ready access to the Pacific Ocean to our west and to the Sierra Mountains to our east. All types of outdoor recreation are available and we enjoy a very high quality of life. Job Responsibility:In this important Active Products position, you will design, manufacture and test active circuit products ranging from commercial to Hi-Rel and space-qualified. These products include amplifiers, mixers, filters, VCOs, DROs and attenuators. You will work with a variety of construction media including microstrip and stripline using both thin film and soft board construction methods. You'll interface with customers on specifications, performance and technical issues, and work closely with manufacturing to transfer designs into production. You will: . Design new products from start to finish according to customers' specifications. Includes circuit and module design, scheduling, interfacing with technicians. Includes some mechanical design. . Interface with customers on specifications, performance and technical issues. . Test new designs in the lab. . Interface with manufacturing to troubleshoot problems in production units. . Present designs to customers in formal design reviews which may include circuit design theory, system design, thermal analysis, reliability analysis, schedule, production readiness and quality issues. Job Requirements:You should have a BSEE (MSEE preferred) and at least 5 years of experience in the design of chip and wire hybrid MIC components such as amplifiers, mixers, filters, oscillators, switches and multi-function assemblies. You must have extensive experience in computer aided design with software tools such as Touchstone, Harmonica, Microwave Office, Spice and Autocad. You must have broad knowledge of hybrid assembly techniques and microwave testing up through at least 18GHz. Experience at higher frequencies would be a plus and experience designing Hi-Rel and/or space-qualified components and sub-systems is very highly desirable. You should know how to use microstrip, stripline, slotline and coplanar waveguide structures. Experience designing space-qualified components and sub-systems is highly desirable. You should be a self-starter and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Salary Range:Open
