The Regulatory Compliance Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Vice President of Quality in planning, administering and monitoring all aspects of continuous survey readiness and compliance with regulatory standards; and leads and coordinates program initiatives to promote awareness, education, and assure continuous assessment and compliance with all regulatory, state, CMS, and The Joint Commission standards.
The Coordinator also:
Participates independently and collaborates with corporate/health system wide activities regarding patient safety, regulatory compliance and performance improvement.
Works collaboratively with the Corporate, Administrative, Clinical and Medical Staff leadership, Ethics and Compliance Officer, Safety Officer, Director of Risk Management, and other hospital leadership.
Qualifications:
Current CA RN License
BSN Required
Minimum 5 years Clinical Acute Care Experience.
Leadership roles in Managing and Coordinating Groups
Project Management Experience, preferred
Strong knowledge of CMS Conditions of Participation, Federal and State Regulations, and The Joint Commission Accreditation standards.
Current working knowledge of ethical, regulatory and accreditation requirements and ability to interpret into sound clinical practice and policy.
Possess strong communication and collaboration skills.
The ability to plan, organize and work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
Demonstrated strong people skills, and oral and written communication skills to effectively deliver presentations and express ideas.
Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Demonstrated ability to problem solve, think critically and creatively, and provide assistance through a consultative role.
Must be able to effectively and appropriately manage confidential information and to work responsibly in a team environment as well as independently.
Must have excellent computer skills.
Solid experience in databases appropriate to quality improvement.
Self-motivated and ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Must be able to work flexible hours and locations based on the organization's needs.
