Current Need
Leads a team of Frontline Systems Administrators who perform a multifaceted IT role. Will have leadership abilities needed to lead and professionally develop a high performing team. This is a hands on technical leadership role and is expected to instruct more junior technicians in resolving network issues. Independently and as a team lead provide consultation and user level network support of all network infrastructures. Engineer and maintain network systems hardware and software, to include requirements gathering, analysis, network design, administration, performance, operation and problem resolution.

* Support Cisco routing and switching infrastructure addresses network problems; identifies issues and effect resolutions

* collect and analyze data about the performance and capacity of the network and its components, and make recommendations based on that.

* Provide team leadership in delivering solutions

* Network Subject Matter Expert for Tier 1-2 support

Position Description
Responsible for operations of a company?s internal data communications systems, including LANs and/or WANs. Plans, designs, and implements networked systems, including configurations; supporting/troubleshooting network problems; coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators, and switches; project implementation; providing training and assisting with proposal writing. Responsible for project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons. May research and evaluate emerging network and communication technology.

Additional Knowledge & Skills
*CCNA required CCNP, CCDA preferred.

* Experience in the use of network management tools, to detect and resolve network issues.

* Ability to lead small to medium sized teams in the resolution of complex problems.

* Expert knowledge of and experience in operating networks, with experience in some of the following technologies:

*EIGRP and BGP, Ethernet switched LAN and 80.11 WLAN, SNMP, Spanning tree, CDP and VTP

*T1, DS3 and fractional services, along with Frame relay, ATM, IPSec VPN and MPLS services

* MGCP and H323, Cisco AVVID services. Voip gateways and features

Minimum Requirements
6+ years experience in the operations of a company's internal data communications systems, including LANs and/or WANs

Education
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
