Inpatient Coder Department: Medical Records Schedule: Per Diem I Shift: Primarily Day shift Hours: 07:00-15:30 Salary: Job Details: - 2-5 yrs. experience preferred
Duties include coding and abstracting all inpatient, TCC, Day Surgery & Observation records using the principles of ICD-9-CM and CPT4 coding guidelines.
Knowledge: High school graduate or equivalent required. Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred, (required within one year). A minimum of two years recent Inpatient Coding using ICD-9-CM and CPT 4 coding guidelines preferred. Experience with DRG assignment required. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology preferred.
