Overview:
This position serves as a Business Intelligence (BI) architect and is responsible for the design, implementation and lifecycle management of Oracle and all other BI centric reporting and analytics solutions. The role is responsible for identifying and implementing technology and application solution designs and delivering sustainable, cost effective business applications based on industry and business research. This position is also responsible for implementation and oversight of sustaining technology governance processes and associated teaching and mentoring of Business and IT Associates in proper use of the technology and application base.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
20% - Create complex technical solutions and design utilizing BI architecture best practices and other technologies. Utilize deep end-to-end understanding of the BI solution stack including ETL, warehouse, data modeling and BI.

20% - Develop architecture solutions that maintain and communicate Oracle best practices and standards.

20% - Translate business requirements using complex methods and models to determine appropriate system solutions.

10% - Architect, design and develop robust, user-friendly applications, reports and dashboards using tools like Oracle, SSRS, Essbase, etc.

10% - Establish and implement technology migration strategies for Oracle platform.

10% - Serve as primary point of contact for customers and other organizations to resolve BI related development and design issue.

5% - Research, identify, test, certify and select technology products required for solution delivery. Stay informed on emerging technologies.

5% - Lead technology review meetings and ensure appropriate governance processes are followed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and 10 years of directly related experience in information technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates are expected to have deep, hands-on experience with BI semantic layer development, BI reporting architecture and full life-cycle experience implementing BI architecture and data warehousing solutions. Documentation and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to all levels internal and external to the company are essential. Experience with UNIX/Linux (5+ years), Java (2+ years) and strong SQL, Oracle skills are required.

This is a senior-level position and candidates are expected to have excellent skills in the following areas:
. Oracle architecture solution designing and development of data warehousing based on Oracle repository
. Writing, executing and debugging SQL queries to perform tuning and optimization of BI implementations
. Advance data architecture experience with normalized and de-normalized data model structures in heterogeneous environment
. Data modeling and design considerations for analytical systems including reports and dashboards
. Designing, reviewing and optimizing Star, Snowflake and hybrid data models
. Performance tuning
. Data integration methodologies and practices
. Database administration, tuning and space management
. Interpersonal and customer service focus
. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with the ability to appropriately prioritize tasks as needed
. Problem solving and analytical skills
. Leadership skills with the ability to adapt to challenges/changes and to mentor team members
. Collaborate across multiple teams in a large organization

Oracle certification or experience with any of the following would be considered a plus: MPP or large SMP environments, Datastage / Ab initio / Informatica ETL, SQL Server Reporting Services, Proclarity, SQL Server Analysis Services 2005/2008, SQL Server Integration Services, MDX, Adobe Flex, BI for mobile devices and Java web services on Apache/Tomcat.
