Associate Athletic Director for Advancement (Sports Marketing/Sales)

General Athletic Responsibilities:

Works with the Director of Athletics in setting goals and objectives for the Athletic Department fundraising efforts in a manner consistent with the University Strategic Plan for Athletics.
Works to maintain an atmosphere of professionalism and sportsmanship at all University athletic events that is consistent with the mission of University.
Works in conjunction with the University Advancement Office on all athletic-related fund development and marketing activities.
Actively works with the Director of Athletics in direct fundraising activities including university capital campaigns that include athletic interests.
Develops and administers the business sponsorship program for our University Athletics at all athletic events.
Develops and oversees game promotions and marketing efforts at our University athletic contests.
Attends conferences and other development activities relating to marketing and fundraising for athletics.
Develops and implements NCAA rules education for athletic program and donor support groups.


Athletic Association Responsibilities:

Serves as the Director of the Athletic Association. The Director of the Athletic Association reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the leadership of the Athletic Association along with Athletic Association fundraising.
Is responsible for organization and direction of the Athletic Association. Attends all board meetings. Responsible for liaison, coordination and direction from the university to the Board of Directors of the Athletic Association.
Develops, monitors and regulates the Athletic Association budget.
Provides direction and coordination, and serves as the clearing point for all sport booster clubs' fundraising activities.
Develops and implements plans to increase membership in the Athletic Association.
Recommends policy for athletic and sport booster club membership, administration, fundraising activities and ticket sales - in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations.
Carries out all correspondence related to Athletic Association matters, i.e. golf tournament, dinners, etc.
Establishes themes and develops material to support all Athletic Association fundraising activities.
Works with the Director of Athletics and University Advancement Office in setting fundraising goals for Athletic Association fund drives.
Recruits and develops volunteers to assist in Athletic Association fundraising efforts.
Represents, along with the Director of Athletics, the Athletic Association at athletic and community events.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous successful intercollegiate athletic and/ or coaching experience required Previous fundraising experience preferred
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred from an accredited institution
Strong oral and written communication skills
Commitment to the Christian mission of the university
