Acute Care Assistant Department: North I - Med/Surg Schedule: Regular Full-Time Shift: Primarily Nights with Weekend and Holiday Rotation Hours: 0700 to 1930 Salary: Job Details: - BLS Required - CNA Certification - 2-5 yrs. experience preferred
This position assists the Registered Nurses with direct patient care. Job duties include, but are not limited to, patient hygiene, activities of daily living, nutritional support, vital signs, EKG's, ambulating and other patient care activities.
Requirements: High School Graduate or G.E.D. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-2 Paramedic) experience, at least one completed clinical semester in an RN or LVN program completed, Nursing Fundamentals class with Certified Nursing Assistant training, or one year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Military equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted. The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. The ability to provide personal care to patients in a compassionate, caring manner. The ability to position and/or transer patients. Acute Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
